The Brevida™ Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask with Headgear from Fisher & Paykel is a lightweight nasal pillow mask designed for comfort and support. The AirPillow™ cushion inflates as air flows through the mask into the cushion and through the nasal passages. The soft walls extend past the nose into the base of the cheekbone to help secure the fit and prolong the seal. VisiBlue™ hues are found throughout the mask to indicate the various connection points on the mask.

AirPillow Seal Reduces Skin Irritation and Creates a Better Seal

Designed to stop seal dislodging and reduce nasal irritation, the AirPillow nasal pillow cushion fits inside the nostrils and around the nose rather than just in each nostril. The minimalist triangular shape features thin, extended cushion walls to offer a more consistent seal. For increased stability at inhalation, the AirPillow seal inflates to move the soft inflatable nasal pillows closer to the nose. At exhale, the material releases, allowing for ease of breath at every stage of your sleep apnea therapy.

Adjustable Headgear Creates a Comfortable Fit and Strong Seal

For a comfortable fit that helps maintain a strong seal, you can make adjustments to the fit by increasing or decreasing the strap’s tension with the adjustable Velcro tabs. Colored straps help you easily distinguish the exterior headgear strap (blue) from the headgear straps that attach to a headgear clip (beige).

Tips for Cleaning the Nasal Pillow Cushion & All Mask Components

  1. Wash the cushion, short tube, and frame daily in warm water with mild soap. Do not exceed 10 minutes.
  2. Rinse with fresh water until all soap residue is gone.
  3. Allow the components to air dry away from direct sunlight before wearing.

Cleaning the Headgear and Diffuser Cap

  1. Wash at least once per week in warm water with mild soap. Do not exceed 10 minutes.
  2. Rinse with fresh water until all soap residue is gone.
  3. Allow the components to air dry away from direct sunlight before wearing.

Obtaining the Best Fit With the Brevida™

  1. Once you’ve removed the Brevida from its packaging and all components are fit together, use your thumbs and index fingers to pull the wings of the cushion slightly apart from one another.
  2. Insert the pillows inside the nostrils and position the mask until you obtain a secure fit.
  3. Allow the AirPillow cushion to enclose the nose to complete the seal around the nose.
  4. Using one hand, hold the frame and nasal cushion closely to the face and pull the headgear over the head so both headgear straps land softly at the back of the head.
  5. Fit the headgear along the face ensuring the material is above the ears and below the eyes.
  6. Lift the hook and loop tabs on the other side of the headgear clips and begin pulling the straps through the clips to increase or decrease tension.
  7. Once the best fit is obtained, secure the hook and loop tabs to the headgear.
